GENTIANA CHIRATA or SWETIA CHIRATA

(Chirata—Indian)

General.–Anti-pyretic or febrifuge (fever killer); well indicated in dyspepsia, hyperacidity, functional inactivity of liver, flatulence, anorexia, worm troubles. Populare remedy for chronic fevers.

Mind.–Dullness of mind; desire to lie down.

Head.–Coldness of head; dull pain in temples, gradually extending to whole head.

Nose.–Flushes of heat.

Eyes.–Burning sensation in eyes.

Ear.–Hissing sound.

Mouth.–Bad taste and foul smell in mouth in morning. Yellow coated tongue; tongue heavy, difficult to speak.

Throat.–Pain, better by hot drink; dry hacking cough.

Abdomen.–Flatulence; pain with enlarged liver and spleen, esp. right-sided renal pain; desire for butter and meat.

Urinary.–Red urine; burning while urinating.

Male.–Weakness in sexual power; slight discharge of semen.

Extremities.–Aching; weakness in legs; difficulty in walking.

Fever.–Coldness lasts long with nausea and bile vomiting; hot stage lasts for 3 to 4 hours, then sweating stage appears; desire for hot water after cold stage.

Dose.–Mother tincture, 3x, 6.
