JUSTICIA ADHATODA

General.–Highly efficacious medicine for acute catarrhal conditions of the respiratory tract (used in the beginning)

Head.–Irritable, sensitive to external impressions; hot, full and heavy head; lachrymation, with coryza, profuse, fluent, with constant sneezing; loss of smell and taste; coryza with cough.

Throat.–Dry, pain during empty swallowing, tenacious mucus. Mouth dry.

Respiratory.–Dry cough from sternal region all over chest. Hoarseness, larynx painful. Paroxysmal cough, with suffocative obstruction of respiration. Cough with sneezing. Severe dyspnoea with cough. Tightness across chest. Asthmatic attacks, cannot endure a close, warm room. Whooping-cough.

Relationship.–Seems to come between Cepa and Euphrasia, which compare.

Dose.–Third potency and higher. Severe aggravation have been noticed from lower potencies.

JUSTICIA ADHATODA

(Vasaka—Indian version)

General.–Excellent in all sorts of cough and cold. It is said that no death can take place from cough of any kind if Vasaka can display its healing properties.

Mind.–Low-spirited; over-sensitive to external impression; anxious; no desire to talk.

Head.–Burning sensation over forehead; heaviness and fullness of head; hot sensation; pulsation in both sides of head.

Face.–Pale, blue ring around eyes.

Mouth.–Dry tongue and excessive thirst for cold water.

Stool.–Obstinate constipation.

Respiratory.–Constrictive pain in lungs’ tightness across chest; whole body tremble while coughing with hemoptysis after severe dyspnea and shortness of breath; expectoration yellowish, dry, rusty; patient gets worse while lying on left side; dry cough from sternal region; hoarseness; cough with sneezing; asthmatic attacks; patient cannot endure closed warm room; whooping cough.

Fever.–chilly every evening with night sweats; also useful in consumption and other lung affections attended with cough and hectic fever.

Dose.–3x, 6x, 30.
