OCIMUM SANCTUM

(Tulasi—Indian)

General.–Asthma; catarrh; cold; cough; fever; worm affects.

Mind.–Forgetful, lack of concentration, disturbed child, cries, peevish, does not like to lie on bed; prostration, drowsiness, falls to sleep while answering.

Head.–headache, heavy, throbbing pain, as if nails were driven into it, relieved by pressure; giddiness worse while walking, better by wrapping up head; heat on vertex better by pouring cold water over head and fanning.

Eyes.–Pain, redness; lachrymation of eyes due to nasal catarrh; ophthalmia, mist before eyes when fixing on something.

Ears.–Noise in ears; loud sound seems painful. Watery discharge from ears; offensive pus; shortness of hearing; hot flushes in ears.

Nose.–Nasal catarrh associated with sneezing; white or yellow discharge from nose; nostrils ulcerated; epistaxis.

Face.–Face pale; lips bright red; watery salivation; putrid and bitter taste; aphthae in mouth; tongue bright red on sides, middle portion deeply coated; lips dry and black, as if burnt.

Throat.–Pain in throat with difficulty in swallowing; Pain while coughing, hoarseness.

Chest.–Chest pain while coughing, sneezing; cannot lie quiet in bed in asthma; pain in middle of sternum.

Stomach.–Flatulence; eructation; hiccough; gurgling sound in abdomen; want of appetite, heaviness in abdomen, no relief after stool; griping pain in liver or spleen.

Fever.–Excellent remedy in influenza and fever associated with cough; acute pain in body; bone pain; soreness of muscles and terrible headache; typhoid fever with chilliness; burning sensation all over body; delirium; drowsiness and comatose condition.

Stool.–Copious, offensive, mucus or bloody, yellow or greenish; involuntary during high fever; diarrhea in rainy season or autumn.

Urine.–Involuntary urination of children, burning while urinating; frequent desire to urinate.

Female.–Offensive lochia lasts for a period; profuse bloody discharge after delivery; leucorrhea.

Dose.–Mother tincture, 3x.
